Atmosphere was great. Waitress was helpful and knowledgeable with food and wine choices. Would go back again. Had their spaghettini and it was so clean zesty and lite. Dessert was the strawberry rhubarb crisp so tasty but their red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting just melted in your mouth.

We had a great experience here. Our server was attentive & friendly and the food was delicious! We started with the jalapeño white cheddar cheese curds with raspberry sauce. They really packed some heat, which I loved, and the sweetness of the raspberry was a good complement (though it is really sweet!) We both ordered steaks (coffee rubbed for me and Kentucky bourbon for him) with hand-cut fries and starter salads. We were really pleased with the preparation and flavor of everything. Our salads tasted so fresh! A good portion of mixed greens for a side salad. I was surprised that my husband's fries were swimming in au jus, but he liked the flavor so he didn't mind. It's great to have, but maybe in a little side cup? Taking away one star because we were a little disappointed with the brewery's porter and root beer we ordered. The root beer just wasn't cold enough (I understand that they served it without ice so as not to get watered down) and the porter was ok, but not memorable. Otherwise, we were really impressed with what they are doing at this establishment!

They did everything right! The S.U. and I were hiking at nearby Yellowstone Lake SP and swung into MP for lunch. It's located down at the bottom of Commerce St. in an old stone building. The brewmaster, I was told, has been brewing there for a long, long time and his London Porter was better than I first expected. They make all their stuff from scratch and since MP has a Cornish mining history, pasties (meat/carrot/turnip-filled pastry-pie) are on the menu. The S.U. had one with a corn souffle on the side. I had a grilled pacific sockeye fillet with a walnut pesto and Belgian fries. Very nice all around. Also, a decent wine selection that doesn't rip you off. Great spot!

One of the absolute highlights of our trip to the House on the Rock area. I am a vegetarian and was amazed at all of the delicious options. My boyfriend is not a vegetarian and he also enjoyed his lunch very much. The beer was really good too. The service was friendly and welcoming at the atmosphere was warm and comfortable. I wish we lived closer because I would go there all the time !

If you want to know how the food is, read the other reviews. We ducked in here for a beer while day tripping to Mineral Point. We dined here two years ago and I didn't remember much about the food or beer. Having just hit the Red Rooster a little while ago, food was out. We ordered a couple of ales, they were ok but nothing special.

We come to the Platteville area every year to visit family. After a high school basketball game in Mineral Point that ended at 7:30 pm we were hungry. We called & they accommodated 20 of us including children. The raspberry sauce to dip the jalapeño cheese curds is a perfect pairing. I had the Kentucky Bourbon Steak with the flavorful Bourbon & shallot sauce. Matched well with their Kristal Weiss wheat beer. The menu includes many other steaks, burgers, pasta dishes, chicken, salmon & vegetarian dishes. Definitely will be back. If

I am only giving Brewery Creek 3-5 stars because unfortunately we did not stay to eat there. While walking in the space was great our server was wonderful, really all that you can ask for. We were traveling as a family and did not realized that everything that we had just ordered as appetizers were fried in peanut oil. My husband and I could eat the items but our son could not. The only item for children on the menu was a child sized pasta - for our three year old there needed to be more variety. We would have loved to stay, our server even asked if we had an EpiPen with us. We answered no, she then assured us that there would be no cross contamination but we could not sit there and chance it being so far away from home.

This place came recommended to us and the minute we walked in I was impressed. Beautiful old building, small and quaint. The service was friendly and quick and the food was excellent. We had the special which was a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and a burger. Both were excellent. Try the Belgian fries with malt vinegar. You won't be sorry. Excellent overall experience!!

This is probably the best place to eat in town because there are so few options, although I did not go the MP across the street. The food is fine, it's certainly nothing worth writing home about. They supposedly make their own beers but I tried the Belgian Wit and found it incredibly bland. I ordered the steak which was a nice rib-eye, but it evoked memories of Sizzler's from my childhood, especially with the dollop of butter on top that is piped out of a bag. We also had the corn souffle which was nice, but not amazing. The woman who might be the owner, but was the hostess for the night was a bit curt with me. At no point was I welcomed to the restaurant, instead she blocked the door so I couldn't go in and demanded if I had a reservation. Our service was fine. Again, nothing to write home about but there are just so few options in this town.

Excellent service, excellent food! The veggie burgers are delicious! Make sure and try the jalapeno cheese curds with the raspberry sauce to dip

Beautiful little place in Mineral Point! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Brewery Creek Brewpub Restaurant. The jalapeno cheese curds w/ raspberry sauce were an outstanding starter. I also had the Greek Chicken Sandwich with the handmade fries, both were better than average. The beers were solid, I believe the Amber was on tap when we stopped, I honestly cannot remember what the second pint was. Both were enjoyable, but the line up at the time (last fall) was somewhat middle of the road. I would love to try their Biere de Garde and Grand Cru when I drop by again, which I will. Worth a side trip to see the vintage wood bar, cool location.

This small town does not have lot of eating and drinking options. This seemed to be a nice place so I went in. I liked the irish pub kinda ambiance. Seemed like everyone inside the bar already knew each other! I was the only person drinking at the bar. No TV, quiet bartenders - I got bored pretty quick. Being in Wisconsin, I was expecting some really good cheese in burgers, but it tasted just like regular ordinary cheese. I enjoyed there local beers though. I tried three of them and they were reasonably good. Although nothing exceptional about this place, I will definitely come back here if I visit mineral point again.

My wife and I have stayed at the Brewery Creek Inn several times and have always eaten at the restaurant/pub during our visits. The building is a nicely renovated warehouse from the 19th Century with foot-wide limestone walls. The rooms are all different and tastefully decorated. The restaurant itself is very nice with exposed wood beams, stone walls and an old bar lining one wall. They brew their own beers in small batches and most are quite good. The food is also good with an emphasis on locally grown produce and meats. The steaks are very good as are the frites and salads. Service can be a little slow when they are busy but the waitstaff is always friendly and accommodating. The town of Mineral Point is also very interesting - being settled by Cornish miners in the 19th Century. Lots of historical buildings tucked away in the driftless area of SW Wisconsin. If you like to ride your bike on some great roads with some great scenery, it doesn't get much better than this area of Wisconsin. So if you're ever in the area make a point to stay or at least eat at the Brewery Creek Inn, you won't be disappointed.

We had a good dinner but did not stay overnight. The building is a very old warehouse which made for a fun and interesting space. The bar truly is beautiful. The people were warm and friendly. This makes for great atmosphere. The beer was excellent. I had a steak which was OK, but other entrees may be better choices.

I'm not from Mineral Point - just like to stop through occasionally. Brewery Creek was recommended to me as an amazing place to stop. The person who recommended it enjoyed their time so much that they bought a shirt there. I guess my expectations were a little high because of that. You don't buy t-shirts just anywhere. In all fairness - this is a nice spot for Mineral Point. Its an interesting building with some character. The beer is fine. It won't knock your socks off or even be very memorable, but it won't offend you either. The menu was actually quite thoughtful - with locally sourced foods and some sophisticated options if you're looking for something other than just a burger. I had a handmade walnut burger with carmelized onions and aioli; it was quite good and had a nice texture. The prices for everything seemed average and fair. I gave this place a 3 for a few reasons (keep in mind, if this was in Milwaukee or any larger metropolitan area, it would get a 2.) The issues that I saw could easily (read: should be easily) remedied. If they had any competition, I bet I wouldn't have noticed the following problems: 1. There was no music playing which made for an uncomfortable and not-very-inviting lunch time atmosphere 2. The bartender/waitress was brusk. She was quite busy and working both the bar/restaurant by herself; however, her job is to be NOT brusk. Smile. Say hello. Make eye contact. Etc. I hate the feeling that we were bothering her. I understand human nature though and maybe she was having a bad day. She might be the greatest. 3. There was a lack of consistency in decor. The old bar is beautiful. Sitting on top of the bar were two dirty looking lava lamps (that weren't even on.) I wanted to feel like I was in an old-timey saloon, not a dirty night club in a small town. Other details were missed as well - like the poor coordination of the tables and chairs. I don't expect things to match - too much matching is tacky too - but there has to be a theme in the style or it looks like it was thrown together with whatever was available. Again - I wanted to feel like I was in an old, possibly historic place but some of the furniture indicated that I was having lunch at my Aunt Sally's - sitting on her 1990s kitchen table set from Shopko. Details matter. Details are THE ONLY THING that matters. If you ever find yourself in the small Wisconsin town of Mineral Point, you should stop by Brewery Creek. Decide for yourself.

There aren't many places to eat later on a Wednesday night in this little town, sadly. But the lights were on here and it was warm and cozy when we stepped inside. I must say, it did feel a bit like walking in to a stranger's living room and all eyes turned to stare at the out of towners as we obviously clashed with the locals. We stayed and took a table despite the discomfort! Service was slow. Slow! The food was fine. My dining partner and I each had the walleye sandwich and side salads, not wanting to eat heavily later in the evening. We also split the amazing-sounding corn appetizer. It was good, but not amazing. Tasted just like my annual corn casserole from the Betty Crocker cook book made for Thanksgiving. ;-) I wouldn't go back. The bartender needs to find something to occupy his time when there are no patrons with whom to chat or serve because standing behind the bar and staring at the diners is creepy. Sorry, dude. Prices seem about right for the food they serve. And the food is tasty, though I must admit, I did expect the sandwich to be more the size of those we get back here around the twin cities. It was on the small size. The atmosphere of the old building is very cool, though, with the exception of the staring tender of the bar and the slow wait staff.

When in Mineral Point, don't miss this place Delicious homemade food with fresh ingrediants, presented wonderfully. Party enjoyed caper chicken salad, portebella mushroom burger, and chicken pesto sandwich. All delicious. Jalepeno curds with raspberry sauce and corn souffle side were not to be missed. Biere de Garde was nice and light for lunch. Save room for dessert. Key lime pie and sour cream berry pie were a perfect finish to this delightful meal enjoyed in a warm, authentic and historic setting. The antique bar is gorgeous too. I'll be back.

My wife and I were staying at a cottage nearby and asked our hostess for some restaurant suggestions. Without hesitation, her immediate suggestion was the Brewery Creek Brewpub Restaurant and Bar. We ordered takeout, and we were so impressed we returned the next day for lunch. The restaurant itself is in one of the famous stone buildings of Mineral Point. The atmosphere is casual; charming and welcoming. There is a bar at the front, and they serve their own label. Soda came in a can, which is my preference. The food was excellent; flavorful and well-portioned. My favorite was the Walnut Burger, a veggie burger of sorts. We absolutely loved the belgian fries. The evening staff was very friendly, although we felt the waitress we had in the afternoon was preoccupied with prep work and seemed annoyed that customers were beginning to trickle in. Our review would have been five stars if not for this waitress. We were slightly dismayed that they did not have a highchair for our daughter. Also, their phone is set to play a prerecorded message with business hours, so you can't order takeout over the phone.

I died and went to sirloin steak-smothered-in-blue-cheese-sauce heaven. Great place to eat. Probably best to always try the chef's special, as was the case with the sirloin. Traveling partner tried to throw out my leftovers. Traveling partner almost lost life.

A great little restaurant, microbrewery, and bed and breakfast in Mineral Point. The building was built in the 1830s as a warehouse, and has since served as an insulation factory, cold storage, and a vet's stable. The stone walls and open beam ceiling feels like it hasn't changed for 150 years. The dining area is small - good thing everyone is so laid back! The first thing you'll notice, however, is the bar - it's stunning. According to the menu, it was purchased from an antique dealer in Minneapolis. You have to see it. The people were real nice, the food was delicious, and the beer is brewed on the premises. It doesn't get much better!

My wife and I recently moved to the quaint town of Mineral Point and Brewery Creek was one of the first restaurants we tried. The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. The desserts are spectacular! Be sure to call first as I know they are only open certain days and be sure to get there early!

Poor service with a bad attitude. I am a local Wisconsin resident and have visited this restaurant 3 times now. On all 3 occasions the staff was rude and/or uncommunicative. The first time we stopped by with out a reservation and patiently waited for a table to be available for us; while shopping in the area. We thought it was not an issue until the service was so bad with no follow up, desert offer, or completion of the bill that it was clear we were not wanted and had put them out too such a degree that they would have preferred to just ignore us. Food so so. Second visit was a bit better. Made reservation, ordered, out of item ordered and notified when appetizers arrived. Committed to eating, so ordered another entrée and dismissed the issue as poor communication between kitchen and front staff. Food again Ok, but not what it should be considering other options in this southern Wisconsin area. Third visit was to meet some friends for some locally brewed beer. Oops it's Saturday night. You can not just have a drink at the bar. It is for dining customers only with reservations. As there were some spots open at the bar 45 minutes before they stopped serving, we were actually able to get some beers and ordered some food. Our freinds paid their portion and had their return change cleared from the bar as if it was a $15 tip. We paid our bill with a cash amount greater than the tab and for us no change was ever returned. Bigger tip than they should have received. **The food is at best OK. **The beer does seem to be a craft brew, but they have no space to actually brew in this location so I am pretty sure they are having someone else do it for them or just purchasing it outright from another brewery. **Service is terrible by nearly all standards other than their own. Note: They stop serving at 8:30 PM and basically shove you out around 9. Try reaching them by phone; what a joke.

I recently spent a weekend here and I simply can't say enough good things about this place. Delicious beer, great food, and incredible lodging. The room was GORGEOUS- huge, beautiful, comfortable. Service was great, staff was friendly, but not overly in your face. There were no children running around. We were able to spend a quiet weekend together in a beautiful establishment. I can't wait to go back!

The room was GORGEOUS- huge, beautiful, comfortable. Service was great, staff was friendly, but not overly in your face. There were no children running around. We were able to spend a quiet weekend together in a beautiful establishment. I can't wait to go back!
